Louise Scott is Avon's Chief Scientific Officer. She heads the brand's global R&D team, including scientists, engineers and beauty specialists to develop Avon's products.

After earning her Inorganic Chemistry PhD from Cambridge University, she spent 25 years working her way up the corporate ladder at P&G.

Here she talks to Cosmetics Business about the latest beauty ingredient trends and the importance of helping women develop a career in cosmetics science.
