In aid of Earth Month in April, Aveda is once again launching its Light The Way candle and will be donating 100% of the RRP to the Global Greengrants Fund.

The limited edition candle is made from naturally-derived soy and plant waxes and has a rich, spicy scent, thanks to a blend of vanilla, cinnamon and ylang ylang essential oils from Madagascar. It burns cleanly and completely in 27 hours.

The Greengrants Fund is a non-profit organisation that channels grants to grassroots groups working to solve environmental problems around the world. Each Light The Way candle costs £16, the purchase of which can provide one year's worth of drinking water for a person in Madagascar. Since 2006, Aveda has raised $9m through sales of the candle.

The packaging is completely recyclable: the candle is housed in 100% reclaimed glass beverage bottles and the outer box is made from 90% post-consumer recycled paperboard.
