CPL Aromas has recently published its audited accounts for the year ended 31st March 2014 and has reported turnover of £68.4M ($110M) up 10% from the previous year. The Group saw consistent levels of growth across the world but sales were particularly strong in India, South America and the MENA region. Record sales have led to record levels of investment in the business with a number of significant projects being undertaken across the organisation. The company has implemented Dynamics AX, its new ERP system, throughout the Americas and Europe with the remaining regions of the world adopting the system in the months to come. Dynamics AX will improve efficiency across the group and introduce greater levels of customer service.

Sales across the world were strengthened by the roll out of the company’s encapsulation technology Aromacore. This patent protected innovation has been adopted by numerous clients in the laundry sector as a way of dramatically improving the longevity of fragrances on the cloth.

Commenting on the Groups results Chris Pickthall, Group CEO, said:
"It has been another excellent year for CPL in which we achieved record sales and were able to invest heavily into the business further improving customer service levels. My thanks to the hundreds of CPL colleagues throughout the world for their dedication and innovation"Throughout the year CPL is pleased to have delivered on its CSR commitments across the world. The group continues to support the valuable work of CAFOD, a charitable organisation that is committed to help building a world free of poverty and injustice. The company was able to confirm an increased donation of £150K ($240K) for the year.

During 2013/14 CPL has helped to establish a perfumery course for the visually impaired in India. Together with the Blind Persons Association (Mumbai) and other industry partners we have developed a bespoke course at V.G Vaze College that has given the visually impaired the opportunity to learn perfumery skills that utilize their heightened levels of odour perception. It is particularly gratifying to see that CPL’s research and funding in this area has provided employment for the visually impaired at CPL and other fragrance companies in India.
