Fashion retailer allows consumers to decide their own delivery date and time

Online fashion retailer ASOS has teamed up with delivery provider DPD to launch a service that allows shoppers to decide a one-hour delivery slot on their day of choice.

The service, called Precise, will let customers choose from delivery slots seven days a week between 11am and 5pm. At the moment, customers are notified by text or email of their next day one-hour delivery slot, but with Precise they will be able to either accept the allocated slot, or choose a different one.

ASOS has a growing beauty offering, with brands including: StarSkin, bondi sands, Korres, Nars and St. Tropez, among many others.

DPD's CEO Dwain McDonald said: “I think Precise gives ASOS a real advantage at a time when all retailers are looking to innovate in the delivery space and wow customers.

"We're focused on making parcel delivery as ‘personal' as possible by using the best technology available to put customers in complete control of their deliveries. Giving customers timely information they can really use and a great choice of delivery options is genuinely liberating."

Meanwhile, ASOS’ Matt Rogers, added: “Precise is another first for ASOS and a huge leap forward on our customer focused delivery proposition. Our customers love getting their deliveries quickly and tell us they want control and choice over how and when their parcels arrive. Precise gives them exactly that.”
