Tangle Teezer appoints Innovation Advisory Board to fuel expansion

The board of business experts will help the hair care brand deliver growth as it builds on record sales

Tangle Teezer has formed an Innovation Advisory Board to boost growth after reported record sales.

The board will support the hair care brand’s progression and foster collaborations with key business stakeholders.

Tangle Teezer Chair Susan Hooper will lead the board formed of business leaders from retail, hair care, technology, and the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) sectors.

Scientists who hold specialisations in trichology (the science of human hair) and macromolecular materials science are also included. 

Tangle Teezer reported record FY21 results of £43.5m – up 47% year-on-year. 

The growth was “fuelled by innovation, international expansion and product offering diversification” it said in a statement.  

The company’s largest market was the US, with sales increasing 133% in this period.

Who is on Tangle Teezer’s Innovation Advisory Board? 

The board includes Charlie Curtis, Associate Fellow and entrepreneurship expert at Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, and Angela Onuoha, top Trichologist, influencer and educator.

Tammy Ng, Vice President of Global Marketing of the Kitchen and Bath Group for Kohler, and Susi Proudman, CEO at Rose & William Consulting, are also on the board.

James Elliot, Joint Head of the Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy and Professor of Macromolecular Materials Science at the University of Cambridge, will also provide insight.

Tangle Teezer launched in 2007 and offers a range of detangling, blow-drying and styling hair brushes.
