Sisterna introduces gel to milk concept

Published: 15-Aug-2012

Product applications include cleansing gels, make up wipes and sun sprays

Sisterna showcases its concentrated emulsion technology in new formulation concepts. This simple technique allows the production of ‘oil gels’ that turn into milk when diluted with water upon use as cleanser e.g. ‘make-up cleansing gel’ or a ‘fruit scrub’. The high oil content also suggests its use in dry skin or massage products being easily rinsed off with water. When diluted in the factory it creates very stable thin liquid emulsions, suitable for natural wipe and spray applications such as baby wipe or sun spray formulations.

Sisterna sucrose esters are a unique range of natural and edible emulsifiers with an exceptional performance and mildness. Furthermore they improve smoothness, emolliency and moisture level of the skin. A wide range of products (HLB 0-16) opens opportunities to use sucrose esters in any kind of cosmetic application.
