Beauty packaging manufacturer Quadpack has launched a new packaging range designed for solid cosmetic stick formulas.

The Multi Stick is suitable for a variety of cosmetics categories, including sunscreen, deodorants, solid skin care, make-up and fragrance.

The size of the packaging is also suitable for formulas which need to be spread over a large area of the face or body.

Made using Polypropylene, a recyclable plastic, Quadpack said the Multi Stick can also contain up to 42% of Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) products and is available in 30g and 50g options.

It joins Quadpack’s packaging collection with PCR content, which includes the PET lipstick, Simply Top Tottle and the Flat Head Round Tube which are also made from recycled products.

The solid option

Demand for solid products has been on the rise.

Almost 90% of shoppers want to see more beauty brands develop a waterless product, according to findings by Cosmetics Business in 2021.

Out of the 42.7% who said they had not bought a waterless beauty product, 87% of survey respondents, in partnership with Your Beauty Club, admitted that they would consider using one.

Powder products were considered the most popular of the waterless beauty options at 51.3%, followed by solids and oil-based products.

Shoppers also said they would be most likely to buy a waterless product from the skin care category (43%), while hair care was the next most popular category at 42% and make-up with 37%.
