The seventh edition of Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients expo (PCHi) took place from 19-21 February 2014 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The event, which alternates yearly between the country’s cosmetics manufacturing hubs Shanghai and Guangzhou, featured 380 exhibitors in 2014, an increase on last year’s 353.

Organiser Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE) said the number of unique visitors totalled 8,189, and speaking with SPC on 21 February, RSE’s Project Manager Elynn Xu said first day visitor figures were up 16.12% on last year’s first day. “We are very proud of this, because this year we are very close to the Chinese New Year and before the show everyone was worried about the influence of the holiday. But it didn’t really influence the results of pre-registration, nor outside registration. According to Xu, the pre-registration figures included 1,032 international visitors.
