Naolys receives Gold Medal for sustainability from EcoVadis

The cell culture ingredients specialist is ranked in EcoVadis' top 5% of companies worldwide for its commitment to sustainability, social and environmental issues

Active ingredients company Naolys has been honoured for its eco-friendly achievements by business sustainability ratings provider EcoVadis.

The company, which specialises in developing plant cell-based actives for the cosmetics industry, has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal for 2021, ranking in the top 5% of companies worldwide for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which EcoVadis assesses across businesses' activities in sustainability, social and environmental issues.

Mr Ennamany, Naolys' CEO, commented: “We are delighted with this rating, which demonstrates the efforts of all our teams to take into account new objectives and strengthen our relationships with our stakeholders.

“We are going to continue on this path inspired by our biotechnology, which is what gives Naolys its core values.”

Founded in 2003, the France-based company implements a variety of eco-friendly techniques to produce its range of bio-based actives, including using sustainable energy, selective sorting of waste and producing active ingredients on demand so there is no waste for customers.

The company offers a wide portfolio of active ingedients for cosmetic applications from make-up to anti-ageing skin care, including its MReload Sequoia and Unwind Sacred lotus ingredients, which are developed using its patented biotechnology process and comply with the Cosmos Natural standard.
