MakeUp in Paris cancels trade show with 'a heavy heart’

The 2020 edition, due to take place in June at the Carrousel du Louvre, will not go ahead as planned due to the outbreak of Covid-19

Beauty industry trade show MakeUp in Paris 2020 has been cancelled with ‘a heavy heart’ by show organisers.

The event, scheduled to take place in June at the Carrousel du Louvre, will no longer be held due to safety concerns and the French government’s restrictions on gatherings due to coronavirus.

Beauteam, the show's organisers, stated: “After evaluating the consequences of any decision that impacts our health and the dynamism of our industry, and in light of the French government's decision to ban gatherings of more than 100 people until this summer, it is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the cancellation of MakeUp in Paris' 2020 edition in June.”

A website will be launched in mid-June for the show’s exhibitors and visitors to boost visibility and build relationships within the make-up and skin care market.

Content will include tips, trends, experiences and innovations.

The next edition of MakeUp in Paris will take place in 2021 from 17-18 June.
