Charles River strives to provide the highest quality and technical standards by delivering industry-leading scientific and technological advances. As part of our ongoing effort to better serve our customers, we are proud to announce that we’ve established accreditation of our global laboratories for Accugenix microbial identification and Endosafe endotoxin testing services against ISO 17025, “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.”

In support of this, we have chosen the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) as the global accreditation body for all of our labs. A copy of this notification is available in French.

A2LA provides independent and world-recognized accreditation programs.

Now, our Microbial Solutions group will be utilizing the same accreditation body for all sites to further ensure harmonized quality systems and testing competence worldwide. Using a global organization such as A2LA ensures synchronization of our processes and provides transparency for our customers, regular verification of our methods, report validation, and identification of trends for continuous improvement in our laboratories across the globe.

With the onboarding of A2LA, we will no longer utilize COFRAC for their accreditation services. Beginning June 1, all reports transmitted from the Écully, France Endosafe endotoxin testing lab will include the A2LA logo.
