The Global and Asia editions will now take place in 2022, while Latin America will move to November this year

Reed Exhibitions (RX), the company behind the in-cosmetics series of personal care ingredients trade events, has announced that 2021’s in-cosmetics Global and in-cosmetics Asia will be pushed back once again to next year.

Ongoing travel restrictions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic were cited as the reason behind the postponements of RX’s highly-international shows.

in-cosmetics Global will now skip its Barcelona edition and take place in Paris from 5-7 April 2022, while the next in-cosmetics Asia is in the diary for 1-3 November 2022 in Bangkok.

Meanwhile, in-cosmetics Latin America, which was planned to take place next month in São Paulo, will be pushed back to 10-11 November this year.

Roziani Zulkifli, Exhibition Director of in-cosmetics Global, said: “Despite live events now taking place, we have to consider the international nature of in-cosmetics Global.

“We have seen positive signs over the last few months with successes in the vaccination programme rollout, but new variants have created increased uncertainties and steady progress is not the case everywhere.

“We have been in continuous contact with both exhibitors and visitors, and it is clear the level of confidence to travel and attend large-scale international B2B exhibitions in the cosmetics industry is not there yet.

“Our primary aim is to meet the expectations of our exhibitors and visitors, and this we believe will happen in 2022.”

Sarah Gibson, Exhibition Director of in-cosmetics Asia, noted that Thailand’s Covid cases were on the rise, while in-cosmetics Latin America’s show runner, Daniel Zanetti, said the seven week grace period would enable Brazil’s vaccination programme to better boost immunity in the country.
