Titanium dioxide is a well-known substance, which is used in many consumer products: paint, plastics, paper and food, as well as cosmetics. It is a naturally occurring mineral that can form many different shapes.

Titanium dioxide is generally a white powder, which gives products a white hue. However, its nanoform does not have the same characteristics and no longer gives this white colour.
