A total of 395 exhibitors from 25 countries will offer a wide choice of fine and speciality chemicals for a range of different applications

This year’s 31st International Exhibition for Fine & Speciality Chemicals will open its doors from 1–2 June 2016 at the Basel Messe Exhibition Centre. With a total net floor space of 5,800m2, the exhibition organisers, Mack Brooks Exhibitions, announce an increase at this year’s event of 7% compared with the previous exhibition.

At Chemspec Europe 2016, a total of 395 exhibitors from 25 countries will offer a wide choice of fine and speciality chemicals for a range of different applications. Companies from all regions of the world will exhibit at the event. Largest European exhibitor countries are the UK, Germany, France and Switzerland; major Asian exhibitor countries are China and India, and there is a strong participation of companies from the US.

For purchasers and agents looking for specific ingredients or bespoke solutions, the event is a renowned marketplace to source products, exchange expertise and build international contacts. Reliable networks between manufacturers, suppliers, commodity traders, distributors, agents, purchasers and business partners play a pivotal role for this internationally active industry with its complex supply and distribution channels.

Chemspec Europe presents a product portfolio that covers an extensive variety of fine and speciality chemicals, such as agro & food ingredients, pharmaceuticals, household chemicals, cosmetics, general chemicals, APIs, colours, adhesives, inks and dyes, water treatment, polymers, and many more.

This year, the event will take place in one of Europe’s major hubs for the chemical industry. Centrally located, Basel borders three of Europe’s strongest countries in the chemical sector: Switzerland, Germany and France. The fine and speciality chemicals industry can, therefore, look forward to another valuable industry event offering international business contacts and excellent networking opportunities.

Alongside exhibitors of raw materials, products and services, research & development is an integral part of the show. Visitors to this year’s Chemspec Europe will be able to choose from a varied selection of conferences and workshops, presenting top-class content and the latest findings from ongoing research and development projects.

  • The RSC Symposium, organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry, includes a wide variety of sessions and renowned speakers on the topic 'Survival in the Speciality Chemicals Industry – Sustainability and Process Intensification'.
  • REACHReady will, once again, hold its Regulatory Services Conference.
  • For visitors interested in trends in the agrochemicals sector, The Chemspec Agrochemical Outlook Conference gives valuable insight.
