Change is afoot at Paco Rabanne as the fragrance business welcomes a new Managing Director.

Nadia Dhouib, a long-serving executive at Galeries Lafayette, the Parisian department store chain, will assume the role from Bastien Daguzan next month.

Daguzan departed after five years on a mutual basis, according to the Puig-owned business, and will remain “close” with the brand.

Dhouib will report to Vincent Thilloy, Chief Brands Officer at Paco Rabanne and Jean Paul Gauliter, another fragrance business owned by Spanish house Puig.

“Nadia Dhouib has strong experience in buying, merchandising and retail,” wrote the company in a statement.

The founder of RethinkRetail Advisory business began her career as an Analyst at Accenture, before joining Galeries Lafayette as a buyer for Womenswear.

According to her LinkedIn, she speaks four languages, including French, English, Italian and Arabic.

As well as a strong fragrance portfolio, which includes Nina Ricci, Carolina Herrera and Penhaligon’s, Puig also owns a majority stake in Charlotte Tilbury – the eponymous beauty brand of the British make-up artist.

The takeover, which was signed in 2020, cushioned the full force of the pandemic for Puig.

By incorporating the brand it managed to reduce Puig’s decline in like-for-like growth from 32% to 24%.
